September Poem – September Changes

September Image

September Image

September is like no other
It’s days change colour and weather
No other month can say quite the same
For every day, I can feel the change

It’s cool breezes start out warm,
Changing to cold throughout every storm
The leaves change and fall
As the Summer leaves and Autumn kisses us all

September maidens feel the change
Like the blue of the sky
Yet the colour so deep
Unbelievable beauty

Maidens fall throughout and watch
Each raindrop changing through colours so fast
Yet one streak remains the same
Of that wonderful sapphire rain.

September, unlike any other
Holds you tight, in any weather.
Changes come, no matter where you go

North and you’ll get stormy snow
South and feel the heat of summer coming
September does this, no matter what.
Change lives within, Nothing to stop

September is beautiful
And awesome all the same
It’s hope for the future and the change
Comes swiftly as we sweep away

The Summer ends and the Autumn begins
Change is all around
With one maiden leaving
And yet, another comes

Born into the world
Of wonderful September
The sapphire skies live on
Throughout this wonderful September

August Poem – August

An August Scene

An August Scene

August

She dreams of August in the singing morning..
When all the little things come out to play,
When every spider’s web is sticky, lacy,
And every kid will have the pinkest day.
She fell in love in August as a girl…
His smile was melting smooth like green ice cream,
She wanted him in August and she got him,
He was her love, her every glowing dream.
August takes you back to yellow meadows,
To days when Grandmas made you lemonade,
To nights when how you begged to stay out later,
And afternoons with novels in the shade.
To kittens that you loved
and have forgotten…
To mom and dad who loved you for all time..
To him who waited somewhere in the hot night..
To kisses made of moonbeams..green as lime..
August, sultry August, month of magic….
Dragonflies become you…you are rare,
Fireflys annoint you with their glowing…
August burning month…your love I wear.

Saying Goodbye

Good-Bye

Good-Bye

What can I say but goodbye yet again?

In endless circles we turn

Looking for atonement for what we have done

So glad to have met you

My initial thoughts were optimistic and cheering

But the time has come to say goodbye

and it is the hardest thing to be done.

Was it worth it for the lessons that were learnt?

So on my journey I shall return

With a sense of renewed hope and concern

Again on this road I turn

What have I learned along the way?

Many things my friend but to love without concern

Little droplets of wisdom encircle me as they have always done

Turning around when I was meant to have done

To find you down but not gone

So as I say that final goodbye

With tears in my eyes I turn around

Only to find that you have already gone

Turning my world almost upside down.
